TTO ribbon runs in a printer mounted directly on the packing line, overprinting onto packaging film as it moves through. TTR ribbon runs in a separate barcode label printer, printing onto roll labels before they're applied. Both use thermal-transfer technology, but the machines are different — they aren't interchangeable, so match the ribbon to the machine you actually have.

Send a photo of the machine's nameplate, the existing part number if you have one, and the actual dimensions in use — printhead width, roll length, or character size. Our team checks compatibility before quoting so you don't end up sending parts back.

Yes. Most of our coding and labeling customers already have a machine running and simply need an ongoing supply of ribbon, foil, labels, or replacement parts — no new machine purchase required.

Direct-thermal stock reacts to the printhead without ribbon and suits short-life shipping or scale labels. Thermal-transfer printing uses TTR ribbon on paper or synthetic labels for longer life and greater durability.

Provide the scale brand and model, label size, core, labels per roll, and preferably an original roll sample because width, gap, and sensor position vary by machine.
